Between shifting identities\, increasing responsibilities\, and the pressures of school\, social life\, and family expectations\, it can be easy for teens to feel overwhelmed or misunderstood. \nOur Teen Process Group at The Center fosters a consistent and welcoming space where teens can be themselves without judgment. Facilitated by a licensed mental health professional\, the group combines psychoeducation\, creative expression\, mindfulness practices\, and open dialogue to support teens as they make sense of their experiences and learn healthy coping strategies. \nThe group supports a wide range of teens—including creative thinkers\, LGBTQIA+ youth\, and those feeling boxed in by expectations. DESCRIPTION:Middle school can be one of the most challenging transitions for kids. At this age\, children are experiencing rapid changes in friendships\, identity\, emotions\, and independence. They may struggle to find safe ways to express themselves or to cope with new pressures at school and home. \nThe Middle School Process Group at The Center is designed to provide a safe and structured environment where children (ages 11-13) can explore who they are\, practice new skills\, and build supportive peer connections. Guided by a licensed mental health professional\, this group gives children the chance to process emotions in healthy ways while having fun and learning practical tools for resilience. \nGroup Focus Areas: \n\nCreative outlets to help kids express and process their emotions\nGuided conversations about feelings\, friendships\, and challenges\nFun\, skill-building activities that support problem-solving and confidence\nA safe space for identity exploration without pressure or judgment\n\nWhat Parents Can Expect Their Child to Gain: \n\nA safe\, nurturing environment where they feel heard and understood\nPractical coping skills they can use at school and home\nImproved ability to manage emotions and navigate friendships\nHealthy self-expression through creativity and play\nA supportive community of peers guided by a professional facilitator\n\nRegistration & Contact: Space is limited to ensure a supportive group dynamic.
