SUMMARY:Portrait of Compassion
DESCRIPTION:Explore creating an abstract self-portrait inspired by your own experience of compassion \n\n\n\n\nWhat does it look like to meet ourselves with compassion\, and how does the compassion we offer ourselves shape the way we meet one another? \nJoin The Center for Healing Arts & Sciences for a guided collaborative art experience exploring the movement of compassion from self to other. Participants will begin by creating an abstract self-portrait inspired by their own experience of self-compassion\, using color\, shape\, texture\, words\, and symbols to express what it means to meet themselves with kindness and care. Each individual portrait will then become part of a larger collective work of art\, connected ot the expressions of others and transformed into something none of us could create alone. Together\, the finished piece will offer a visual reflection of how the compassion we cultivate within ourselves can ripple outward–deepening our capacity to see\, connect with\, and care for one another. \nNo artistic experience is necessary. Come as you are\, create from where you are\, and add your piece to our shared Portrait of Compassion. \n— \nThe Center for HAS is where modern medicine & ancient wisdom meet. From psychotherapy\, acupuncture\, yoga therapy\, reiki healing\, art therapy and many other healing modalities\, The Center for HAS offers an integrated wellness approach to caring for your whole person. \n— \nMeet your facilitators : \nLeila-Scott Price\, co-founder and CEO\, holds a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine\, a degree in Human Organizational Development with a focus on the psychology of leadership from Vanderbilt University\, and certification in Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI). \nTracey Waldroup holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership\, B.F.A. in Art Education and is a 200hr E-RYT Yoga Teacher. She is an educator\, artist\, and mindfulness practitioner whose work explores the space where creativity and contemplative practice meet. Rooted in the belief that slowing down and paying attention can gently transform the way we relate to ourselves\, she creates environments that invite reflection\, presence\, and a deeper sense of inner connection.
